- Where To: Guides
On the hunt for a delicious meal in 2025? This is our year, St. George!
Whether you’re a local foodie or a welcomed tourist, this quick guide will lead you to the top-rated restaurants in town, broken down by cuisine. Discover the best Washington County restaurants for Mexican, Italian, Asian and more. We’ve curated this list to help you find your next flavorful stop, from authentic dishes to upscale dining and quick grab-and-go options.
Best Mexican Restaurant: Ochoa’s
Newly added to the St. George restaurant scene in 2024, this hole-in-the-wall is deceivingly special. Located in a strip mall off Sunset, Ochoa’s is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The dining room is small, so pick-up may be your best option (especially for larger parties) – but the food stands out.
What we love: The breakfast burritos (they’re BIG, so come hungry) and the Red Birria Tacos.

Best Asian Restaurant: Sumo Shabu Shabu & Korean BBQ
Looking for Korean BBQ in St. George? This is the spot (well, it’s also the only spot).
Known for a heaping assortment of BBQ meat and veggie options, the staff is helpful and knowledgable for KBBQ first-timers. Their ramen options (especially the Black Garlic) are fantastic and you can’t skip the traditional boba teas or unique ice cream flavors.
What we love: The beef flank bulgogi – just give us endless rounds of that and some corn cheese and we’re good to go. Tender, easy to cook, well marinated – it’s simply delicious!
Best American Restaurant: Cubby’s
Burgers? Yes. Salads? Yes. French Dips? Also yes. Cubby’s is also a newer restaurant in St. George – a growing chain from up north – serving up top quality ingredients and delectable dishes. Perfect for a quick breakfast or lunch, Cubby’s has a small, curated menu that’s sure to satisfy everyone’s tastebuds. But be warned: this isn’t the cheapest option on our list, especially for lunch.
What we love: The Tri-tip Steak Salad, a side of Buffalo Bleu Cheese Fries and a Huckalala Shake is our idea of a perfect lunch.

Best Italian Restaurant: Chef Alfredo’s
Perfect for date night or lunch, Chef Alfredo’s Italian is the best option for affordability. Yes, we do have other great Italian restaurants in town, but Alfredo’s is our recurring staple simply because the food is always divine, the price is right, and the staff is super friendly. While we have our favorite dishes, we’ve definitely veered off course and have never been disappointed. Plus, free bread!
What we love: The gnocchi and the lasagna are wonderful – but you MUST start with the Polpette Trio. Juicy meatballs, with deep fried mozzarella and zucchini, you cannot go wrong.

Best Upscale Restaurant: Rylu’s Bistro
Located in the small downtown of Santa Clara, Rylu’s curated, highly sought after dinners are impeccably crafted. The interior has a very small amount of tables (no more than 10 but we haven’t counted) and the environment is intimate and upscale. Likely the only place in town with a true Sommelier, Rylu’s is reservation only, and they go fast. The food in amazing, the waiters are knowledgable, and the vibe… perfect.
What we love: The menu is always changing, as is the wine list, which is the perfect excuse to keep going back .

Best Grab & Go Restaurant: Farmstead Bakery
Farmstead is a local favorite, with decadent pastries, rich coffee, and easy lunch options. Sharing an owner with across-the-street FS Coffee Co, their cold brews and warm coffee options are the best in town. Massive croissants, croque monsieurs, and delicious desserts, this is the place to grab breakfast, lunch, or a yummy midday snack and hang on the patio. Their pizza is surprisingly good and you can always grab yourself a bundle of bread to keep at home for the week.
What we love: Chicken Salad on a croissant, pizza, and all sweet croissant options
The menu rotates, so they don’t have an online menu, but you can order online!
