The pizza is good, the atmosphere is classic pizzeria. Pier 49 used to be owned by someone else who did a sourdough bread and it was great, I feel something was lost on the classic menu. Don’t get me wrong I still stop in for a pie once a month but something a more experienced pallet could tell you has chained.
The dough takes effort to get to a state I want to swallow, sometimes it’s like gum. All flavors and toppings are great but I feel like I should be in my workout gear to get through the dough.
